Oaklahoma Excepts Sales Tax on Aircraft Repairs for General Aviation Aircraft

by Mr. Flight on June 30th, 2005

Gov. Brad Henry signed a bill that exempts general aviation aircraft (those under 9,000 pounds) from sales tax on repairs.

“These lighter planes are greater in number than all other aircraft. With more customers, aviation businesses will be able to provide many highly skilled, well-paying jobs, generating broad tax and social benefits statewide.” - Phil Boyer, President of AOPA.
