Mooney Airplane Company Clarifies Production and Sales Projection Statements

by Mr. Flight on July 11th, 2005

Mooney Aerospace Group, Ltd. today responded to a recent article in a local business publication which contained inaccurate information regarding Mooney Airplane Company’s 2005 production and delivery levels.

“Mooney Airplane Company is on target to more than double its deliveries for last year in 2005 and we are ramping up our production to accommodate the increased demand,” stated Gretchen Jahn, CEO of the firm, which is a wholly- owned subsidiary of Mooney Aerospace Group, Ltd. “Recent reports which suggested we are projecting 92 deliveries this year and an eventual production rate of 120 aircraft annually did not accurately reflect the company’s position,” she added.

Ms. Jahn also pointed to comments in the article, which indicated that the company “may look to beef up its workforce by an additional 10 percent by year’s end.” “Our operational plan does reflect some additional employment increases, but we are not offering any specific percentages for the rest of this year,” she said.
