EAA Chapter Secretary Arrested for Stealing Parts
Earlier this week John Nocero, Secretary for EAA’s Waterloo chapter was arrested for stealing aircraft parts. Apparently he came across a 1973 Seneca that had been parked for a number of years at the Waterloo Airport because of engine troubles.
The owner of the Seneca checked on the plane to find the engine, propeller, landing gear, seats, radios, and autopilot missing. John Nocero has admitted to stealing the landing gear, and the motivation was likely parts for the Mustang II he was building.
Besides the missing parts, the Seneca doesn’t look like it will be flying anytime soon.
“He chopped a hole in the side of the damn thing to get the autopilot out. He’s basically ruined the airplane.” - Owner of the Seneca, Jerry Dwyer
landed on aeronews.
