What’s the Frequency (in Miami) Kenneth?

by Mr. Flight on March 19th, 2006

In Miami the FAA and police are trying to track down a pirate radio station operating on the same frequency as ATC in Miami. The signal was once traced to a warehouse and radio equipment was found, however nobody was inside and the station has continued broadcasting.

The “radio station” calls itself Da Streetz and doesn’t appear to have a regular broadcast schedule. Pilots who find themselves fighting for airtime with DaStreetz switch to an alternate frequency.
