View Your Flight in Google Earth
Are you as addicted to Google Earth as I am? Ever “fly” around recreating your past or planned flights? Have a GPS that can record track-logs? Using a new website called goFLYING you can export the track-logs from your GPS and visualize your tracks within Google Earth.
There are even some really nifty color coding features which show you your relative altitude. You can view some sample tracklogs from their site to see just how cool this is. This system might also prove valuable to people in flight training to visualize just how well you can fly a rectangular course or how consistent you are entering and lapping holds.
You can visit the site here. Thanks to Rich for pointing out the site to us!

GPS Track Log Viewer…
Upload track logs from your GPS, and view your track overlaid on a map next to your planned route. Load them into Google Earth directly from this site, and share them with your friends and family. goFLYING: GPS Track Log…

I am a regular user of http://www.GoFlying.org and I love it! Check out my latest trip to/from Northern Ireland for example… I just wish my GPS-III Pilot also logged altitude information (which the website can display) - I might have to get a better GPS!
The photos that go with this trip, if interested, are here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/andyhardy/sets/72057594121868219/

Hi All Experts,
Does anyone use google earth images as ground image planes for use in aerial scenes. I know how to stitch them together but are there any tools or tricks to make sure that the images are at the same height, angle and such to make sure they stitch well. I know in the pro version you can get bigger images but im not going to pay for the pro version when i could stitch multiple images together…
