Lockheed Martin AFSS Site

by Mr. Flight on July 20th, 2006

Since taking over Flight Service Stations last fall there hasn’t been too much conversation about Lockheed Martin’s services. Recently they announced a new website for AFSS. The website contains contact information for each of the regions, a general overview of the services they provide, and also a contact form where you can submit your comments on the services you have been provided.

There are also links to a ‘Flight Planning’ section which currently says “Flight Services for the 21st Century (FS21) is Under Construction Coming in the Spring of 2007″. I’m looking forward to giving this a try when it is released.

Perhaps you could provide a phone number for reporting obstruction light outages as required by the FAA. I work at a power station in Port Jefferson, NY and stack light outages need to be reported. The phone number we used to call is still ringing. 631-471-7394.
