Burt Rutan and company have built a second SpaceShipOne to replicate exactly the original SpaceShipone. Serial number 2 even includes scrapes and skid marks of the original, however number two will not be making any space flights in the future. Instead, the second SpaceShipOne will be on display at the EAA Air Museum.

While on display, the second SpaceShipOne will feather every hour into its position that allowed it to safely reenter the lower altitudes of earth. There is also a short film documenting pilot Mike Melvill’s journey with the space ship.
