Tomy Lee in trouble for Helicopter Landing

by Mr. Flight on August 21st, 2006

Rocker Tomy Lee seems to be in a bit of hot water with Los Angeles County officials for having his helicopter land in the street in front of his house. Tomy Lee was a little late for a concert he was performing at so he called on his pilot David Keith Martz to land at his home to take him to the airport.

If that wasn’t enough to piss off neighbors, The helicopter came back again to pick up other passengers to take them to the show.

LA County has filed charges.

“The public perception is yeah, if I had enough money I could just go here and there in my helicopter. But it really doesn’t do you any good, because you can only go from airport to airport,” said Larry Harris, a senior pilot for the Los Angeles Fire Department, about the incident.
